Banff has a cool, dry climate. The area, which has an altitude of 1,476 m (4,500 ft), is subject to sudden, dramatic changes in temperatures and conditions.
September is typically clear and sunny, with daytime temperatures averaging 16°C, but nights are significantly cooler averaging about 3°C. You will need to bring some warm clothing for outdoor activities.

The Centre offers exceptional meeting facilities, lecture theatres, and auditoriums for groups of up to 1000 participants. You can easily experience the full splendour of the Canadian Rockies from each meeting space.
The 300 guest bedrooms at the Banff Centre provide a wide range of accommodation options. The Professional Development Centre, a spectacular pine lodge, offers over 171 superior bedrooms and suites with full hotel amenities and stone fireplaces. Lloyd Hall offers over 129 standard bedrooms and suites, all of which have been fully renovated. Both the PDC and Lloyd Hall boast expansive windows that allow guests to experience and enjoy the full beauty of The Banff Centres natural setting. Additional accommodation will be provided off-site in the town of Banff.
Travel
Calgary International Airport is located north of the Calgary city center and 128 km from Banff. It is about a 1.5 hr drive that offers a beautiful trip through prairie, foothills and the Rocky Mountains. Bus service will be available for delegates between the Banff Centre and the airport.
